Welcome to "The Nursing Student Files"

A Student Nurse’s Journey Through Chaos, Growth, and Everything in Between

Why didn’t anyone warn me about this?

That was my exact thought on my first day of nursing school. I walked in with crisp new scrubs, a brand-new stethoscope, and a head full of confidence, only to be met with a tidal wave of medications to memorize, skills to master, clinicals that test your patience (and your bladder), sleepless nights, and moments of both doubt and triumph.

Hi! I’m Katrina Loise Omongos, a student nurse navigating the crazy, challenging, and rewarding world of nursing school. This blog, "The Nursing Student Files," is my personal space where I’ll document my experiences the good, the bad, and the why-did-I-sign-up-for-this.

Nursing school is a world of unexpected challenges, late-night breakdowns, and small victories that mean everything. I’ll be sharing my lessons, struggles, survival tips, and the unfiltered realities of what it’s like to be on this journey.

So, whether you’re a future nurse, a fellow student drowning in readings, or just curious about what really happens behind the hospital doors. Welcome aboard!

Now, if you’re about to begin this journey, there’s a lot I wish someone had told me before I started nursing school. Let’s talk about that in my next post.
